Mrs. Pastrovich's class has been working hard to create a book about animals. Each student searched through multiple animals to pick the perfect choice. They researched facts and wrote about their chosen animal. Then they worked on their own illustrations. Thanks to a generous donation from Dr. D. Ross Billiter (through the Academic Foundation) we had it made into a professionally bound book! We are authors!

Mrs. Close's Art 1 and Art 2 high school classes collaborated with our 2nd graders on a drawing/ceramic monster project! The 2nd graders drew and colored monsters and then the high school students brought them to life through ceramics! The high school students got to give the 2nd graders their monster to keep. The monsters turned out amazing!

As Teacher Appreciation Week wraps up, we would like to give some Thank You's to those that helped celebrate our wonderful teachers and staff.
Thank you to the High School and Junior High Student Councils, Mrs. Cann, Mr. Grider, our lovely kitchen staff, and Grand Canyon University. The week was filled with inspiring messages and delicious treats!

Our kindergarten class had an amazing field trip to Marcoot Jersey Creamery in Greenville! The students were full of excitement as we explored the farm and learned all about life on a dairy farm. We got to see adorable calves up close, and the kids were fascinated as they watched the cows being milked and learned how the milk is collected and processed. One of the highlights was getting to "milk" some fake cows, which gave the students a fun, hands-on experience and lots of laughs. We also had the chance to sample fresh cheese and creamy ice cream, both made right at the creamery—it was absolutely delicious! The friendly staff at Marcoot shared so much about the importance of agriculture and where our dairy products come from, making the trip both fun and educational. The kids asked great questions, listened intently, and truly enjoyed every part of the experience. It was a wonderful day full of learning, excitement, and sweet memories!

Mrs. Childers’ and Miss Seely’s Kindergarten Classes Adopt a Cow! 🐄🐄
Our kindergarteners had an udderly amazing experience this year through the Adopt-A-Cow program with Hogg’s Dairy Farm! They adopted two cows, Sunny and Sprinkles, and tracked their growth by graphing their height and weight each month.
Today, the fun came full circle as the classes got to meet their adopted cows in person—and even pet the farms newest baby calf, Charlie, who is just 3 days old!
What a mooo-velous way to bring learning to life!
