Thank you Mrs. Scheller and FOCUS5! 🎉🎉 The third through eighth grade enjoyed a field trip to attend the Grizzlies Baseball Game on April 29 and would like to thank Mrs. Scheller and FOCUS5 for funding the IAR incentive to make the field trip happen! First of all, the fun started with, Izzy the mascot, visiting our school to entertain Pre-K through eighth-grade students with activities and laughter to promote positivity and motivation to try hard on the IAR Test, which is given to 3-8 grade students. Students were then able to attend a Grizzlies baseball game after the test as a fun incentive. Mrs. Scheller purchased the visit for Izzy, the mascot, and paid for 4 buses for the field trip. Thanks to FOCUS5, we were able to purchase a ticket for every 3-8 grade student, including teachers. The tickets included the game, hot dog, chips, and a drink. Once we returned to school, the cafeteria workers were ready to offer snacks and a drink as well. We are very fortunate to have the support to motivate and encourage our students with fun incentives. Thank you, Mrs. Scheller. Thank you FOCUS5 and thank you to the cafeteria workers! We appreciate your support!

🍎🚌 On Tuesday, April 9th, our 2nd grade classes visited the Magic House. They got to have a private exploration of the classic (original) section of the Magic House. Students also got to explore the rest of the Magic House, and had a hands-on STEAM class using "forces-in-motion" where they learned to create different forms of motion using household items. Thank you to FOCUS5 for funding the field trip for our 2nd grade classes. We are so fortunate to have such a great organization that is always supporting our students and classrooms. It was a fun day of learning!📚🖍️

📣 Student Shout-Out! 🌟 We’re proud to share a kind message we received about one of our 6th-grade students, Kale Fenton. A grateful caller let us know how much it meant to them when Kale noticed him struggling to climb the bleachers at the conference track meet in Staunton earlier this week—and didn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. Kale’s thoughtful action is a great reminder that small gestures can make a big impact. Way to show kindness and leadership, Kale—we’re proud of you! #KindnessMatters #BomberPride #StudentSpotlight

The physics class has been learning about momentum, impulse, and decreasing the force experienced by an object. They built structures to protect an egg as it was dropped from different heights. Congratulations to Briley and Ellie, their eggs did not break!

🎃🌱 Spring has arrived in Miss Seely’s Kindergarten class, and so have the pumpkin sprouts! After reading Pumpkin Jack and carving our class pumpkin, Tina, in the fall, we watched her decompose over the winter... and now she’s back! 🌸 The kids came in today to see the first signs of life—pumpkin sprouts! Can’t wait to watch them grow and bloom this season! 🌷
